Will eating fruit after 7 break my healthy weight loss plan?

March 10th, 2010

I am trying to lose weight and eating small portion. after working out today I ate an apple and an orange at 7:33 pm exactly!!

I felt so guilty eating it :( cause I know it has sugar.

Now, does it ruin one’s weight loss plan?

Sorry but you need to get a life - Ok apples and oranges have sugar but they also contain lots of other healthy things your body needs.

Having them after 7.30 is really not going to matter one bit.
It is a good idea if you are on a weight loss program to close the kitchen at 7.30 but please, it is the guilt that is going to do you more damage than the fruit.

Eating after 7.30 rule is out there for those people who go into the kitchen after dinner and pig out on all kinds of unhealthy things.

Just stick to healthy unprocessed food with lots of veggies. lean protein, some healthy fat, drink water, have 2 - 3 pieces of fruit a day and a plate or 4 of porridge in your week and you will be fine.

Cut out the diet food including dressings and sodas, cakes, cookies and food with more chemicals than food and enjoy what you are eating. Don’t get stuck in the diet mentality - just eat plenty of the good stuff.
And on a Sunday - give yourself a break and have a treat.

How much does the diet cost that goes along with the P90x Workout?

March 10th, 2010

Hello,

I just ordered my P90x. I’m waiting anxiously for it to arrive. However, I am concerned about the diet as I am on a tight budget and don’t have a lot of money to spend on food.

Ideally, I would like to pick out a few, low cost items, from the diet that are relatively simple to prepare (nothing gourmet) and stick with those for the duration of the workout plan. Does anyone who has experience with P90x have any suggestions or other tips?

Stick with good proteins.

My son likes plain yogurt with a little honey drizzled on top.
Eggs you can vary how to prepare them and they keep well.
Chicken breast, again prepare ahead and take on the run.
Fruit and veggies that you like.
Tuna in the can…again good on the go.

Clif Builder bars (about 1.50 each) are good for a snack on the go.

Hope all goes well.
